I made my final appearances as a member of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra after nearly two years with the band, with a two night stint at Ronnie Scott’s. Both nights were a complete sell out, with the set including an eclectic mix as well two brand new commisions from trumpeter/composer Laura Jurd.
The set also featured three of my works – My original compositon The Change, a flugel feature ballad arrangement called Dreams (Chuganov), and a transcription/arrangement of a great Bob Brookmeyer track, Celebration Jig (taken from the Celebration Suite, originally written for Gerry Mulligan).
